Recently, there has been an increase regarding vehicles being damaged and car prowling. The areas mostly hit is Saddlebrook and the surrounding streets. There are no details of suspects and it appears that the offences are overnight. Please spread the news to others and report such incidents to Calgary Police. Thank you

City landfills accepting tree debris at no charge
Alternatively, tree debris can be cut into 4-foot pieces in length and stacked beside waste and recycling carts to be picked up with regular collection or at a later date, depending on our resources.

Culture Fest 2014
Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. With the support of volunteer groups at the national, provincial and local levels, hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters self-mobilize to host free participatory public activities that take place in hundreds of cities and towns throughout the country over the last weekend of September each year.

Building Saddle Ridge Middle School
The Calgary Board of Education has been advised by the Minister of Education that CBE will now manage the development and construction of Saddle Ridge Middle School. In June, Alberta Infrastructure announced that they would no longer be building Saddle Ridge Middle School using a P3 construction model. The CBE is pleased to take on this project as they are committed to building schools close to where students live.
School Design Presentation
The Calgary Board of Education will be hosting consultant presentations on designs for six capital projects:
- Aboriginal learning centre (former H.W. Riley school)
- Bowness High School modernization
- Christine Meikle replacement school
- Evergreen middle school
- Jack James High School modernization
- Northeast high school
Consultants will provide brief presentations on each of the projects and then the public will be invited to view the designs and speak to the consultants.
The presentations will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the Education Centre at 1221 – 8 St. S.W. from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Free underground parking is available off 12 Avenue S.W. during the event.
These presentations are open to everyone. For those who cannot attend, we will continue to update our website project pages with information about the construction plans.

Vote for Alberta’s new licence plate
Alberta is getting a new licence plate. The plate will feature a new design, Alberta's website address and new logo, and a reflective coating that will help make roads and communities safer. Vote for your favourite design by choosing one of the three options below by Tuesday, August 19.
